What People Say
Dear James,
I just wanted to say how brilliant Nick was on Monday. The boys had a fantastic time. I have no idea how he kept going in the heat. Please pass on our thanks for a fantastic day. We can't wait until our Circus day next year!Sarah Head, Cranmore School
I just wanted to send and email to say thank you so much for the visit last Friday. The children were sooo happy and they enjoyed it very much. We did some writing afterwards and many of the children commented on how funny James was. Without a doubt, we will contact you next year when the time arises.
Nicole Taddeo, Hobbayne Primary School
The children thought it was so great that they asked me if you could come every week! All the teachers commented on how well the children behaved during the day, even at lunchtime, and how they were 'on the ball' in their lessons.
The Year 6 teacher, who had the first session of the day, said how well they had worked when they returned to class. They are usually difficult to motivate, but she felt that they were really switched on.
Christine Pollitt, Headteacher, St. Mary's C of E Junior School.
Thank you for another fantastic day! The children never tire of watching you perform and demonstrating your balancing and juggling skills! They adore having the opportunity to practise the skills themselves as well. You are so good with the children building their confidence and self esteem. Thank you!
Pauline Milton, Headteacher, Thamesview Infant School
The circus skills sessions were hugely popular with every child in the school as well as the staff. They developed confidence and risk-taking as well as being simply enormous fun. James Waters led the sessions expertly with the presence, enthusiam and control of an experienced teacher. He encouraged reluctant children and staff into the experience by making the tasks seem straightforward, explaining them very clearly and conveying confidence in others to have a go and be successful.
We were particularly impressed at how inclusive the sessions were, involving every child, whatever thier particular needs, and enabling everyone to enjoy themselves and feel successful. The Circus Skills sessions created a great buzz in the school and helped us sustain our enthusiam towards the end of a busy year.Matt Chapel, Lead Learner, Thornhill Primary School
He delivers above and beyond the brief we give him. James is always thinking of new ideas and making suggestions of how he can develop his sessions. He inspires confidence because of his ability to inject fun and enthusiasm into the sessions whilst maintaining a calm and laid back demeanour. He is a valued partner for our storytelling workshops.

I wanted to thank you and your team properly for providing the Circus Skills during our recent PE week.
Nick and Matt were great teachers, great fun and very professional in the demonstration and delivery of the skills that enabled the children to perform for themselves. Both were punctual and efficient which was a great help to me in a very packed and hectic week.
The children (and staff!) had a fabulous time having a go and then showing off their new found talents. I love the fact that the skills were taught across all of the year groups and the fact that EVERY child was included. I was around as some of the groups changed over and the children coming out would tell their friends 'How cool was that?', or 'Wow' That was wicked!'
I would recommend you and your company to other schools and from now on Circus skills are going to be a part of our PE curriculum.”Maureen Quinlan, PE Co-ordinator, St Mary's RC Primary School
James was highly recommended to SCOLA 4 years ago and we have booked him every year for our family learning days.
His sessions are great fun and encourage parents and children to learn together. He is a very experienced tutor offering varied activities and he works so well with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
In the written evaluations of the event, families have given him the highest rating!”Lianne Campbell, Family Education and Outreach Development Advisor, SCOLA
